The Dominican Church, known as Maria Rotunda, is the home of the Dominican Order in the heart of Vienna.
A Reflection for a Short Pause in the Dominican Church
Everywhere in the church, one encounters signs of the Order’s history, such as a painting of Saint Thomas Aquinas, a great scholar of the 13th century. The painting depicts a mystical encounter in which God praised his works: "You have written well of me, Thomas." These words, displayed in reverse, emphasize their divine origin.
Thomas realized that even the deepest reflections fade in comparison to the direct experience of God.
Let yourself be inspired, take a seat, and pray:
"Lord, what is it in your love that you want to tell me right now?"
Well-informed, the pilgrimage of faith continues.
